The Straits Times Index (STI) ended 185.96 points or 5.42% higher to 3613.93 in April 2018.

Top Performers: Hutchison Port Holdings Trust, DBS Group, ComfortDelGro, Thai Beverage, UOB.

Least Performers: Venture Corp, Yangzijiang Shipbuilding, ST Engineering, City Developments, Jardine Matheson.

Most Volatile: Venture Corp, DBS Group, Genting Singapore, Hutchison Port Holdings Trust, UOB.

Share price of the 3 Singapore Banks, representing nearly 40% weight of the Straits Times Index, are all hitting their historical high today, after DBS reported record quarter net profit of S$1.52billion (+26% y-o-y) for 1Q18 this morning.


On the other hand, Venture Corp's share price plummeted nearly 40% within 2 weeks, after hitting the high of S$29.62 on 12-Apr. Venture Corp last traded at S$20.95 today.
